Q: What methods of payment do you accept?
A: Payment is made in advance of the walks and can be made by cash or cheque. I issue receipts for all payments. Most clients choose to purchase a package of 10 walks at a time, but you can also pay as you go if you are more comfortable with that.
Q: I noticed that your dog walks are "on-leash". Do you do any off-leash walks?
A: I can certainly take your dog to a designated Surrey or Delta off-leash park for a romp around, but I am not really a fan of the off-leash activity I have seen at our local parks. Whenever you let a dog off leash you relenquish control. I'm not saying I never take my dog(s) to the off-leash park. I DO take both my own dog & client's dogs occasionally for a fun romp around together. They sometimes need that playtime and a chance to kick up their heels together. I just prefer the format of an on-leash group walk. The dogs still get plenty of exercise & socialization, but are safely kept from other dogs who may not have the social skills to deal with the off-leash setting. I know there are dog walkers out there who ONLY do group outings to off-leash parks. They load up the vehicle with 6 or more dogs and dump them in the off-leash park to run around. There is nothing wrong with doing that, as such, but I have seen too many problems in the past. The problem is not necessarily with the dogs in their care, as most dog walkers have full control of their pack both on & off leash, but the problems could also be with other dogs that are at the park. A few months ago I witnessed one of the dog walker's dogs being attacked by another dog at the park while the walker stood over 100 yards away texting on their cell phone and not even paying attention! That is just not acceptable. By keeping the dogs safely on-leash you can avoid these situations. It is more personal service and each dog gets more individual attention. The professional standard is 6 dogs at a time. I only walk up to 4 dogs at a time. That way I can take better care of them & keep them safe.
Q: What areas do you work in?
A: I am licensed for all of Surrey & Delta, however I can only realistically reach as far North as Fraser Heights, as far West as North Delta, as far East as 168th and as far South as #10 Highway. I have done some work in Cloverdale & the South Surrey/White Rock area, but this was short-term contract work and the clients understood that those walks would be conducted outside of my usual hours, and that additional charges may apply.

Q: Does Kecy come on every walk with you?
A: Kecy normally comes on at least one of the walks per day, but usually two. Kecy is a busy girl what with being my business partner & co-walker, taking agility classes & being a therapy dog at a local hospital. She gets plenty of exercise but I'm careful not to exhaust her.
